Twirling alone in the ocean blue

I stretch out my tentacles
Then wrap them around
I can dance so gracefully
I don’t make a sound
I can spin, pirouette, plié
Bend and then leap up
I do not need my ballet shoes
I use my suction cups

The squid shows off his speckled suit
Then he turns to stripes
Then again from pale to dark
He’s certainly my type
I’ve found my premier danseur
He is just my height
